What We Built We built skinn, a fun and strict accountability app that turns your promises into cash pots. It lets you put your money where your mouth is for events, friendly bets, or daily goals. The Problem It Solves Group chats are full of broken plans and flakes because backing out is free. skinn makes backing out expensive. It removes social pressure and replaces it with financial stakes: if you keep your word, you get your money back; if you flake, the people you let down split your cash. What We Learned We learned how to design a completely self-running system that requires no managers, no human judges, and no central database. By using automated rules, we can ensure payouts are always fair, instant, and completely transparent for every user.
