Pelli

Pelli is a virtual movie room designed to help people stay connected across distance. It lets friends, siblings, and long-distance couples create a private movie room, invite someone they care about, and experience a movie together with synchronized playback, real-time chat, and live reactions. I built Pelli from a personal experience. Growing up, my brother and I used to watch movies together, but as life took us in different directions, we could no longer share those moments in the same way. Pelli is my attempt to recreate that feeling of sitting on the same couch, even when you're miles apart. While building Pelli, I learned how challenging real-time synchronization and shared media experiences can be, and how important it is to balance technical complexity with a simple, meaningful user experience.
