PACT

We built Pact, a decentralized accountability platform that transforms discipline into programmable, on-chain commitments. Using the speed and security of the Monad Testnet, Pact allows users to create immutable promises by locking up their funds in a smart contract. Once a pact is made, users cannot simply back out. To ensure accountability, we built three distinct rule engines: 1. Time Lock: Funds automatically unlock only after a specific future date. 2. Cooldown: Users can request an unlock, but must wait out a mandatory penalty/cooldown period before accessing their funds. 3. Friend Approval (Guardians): A nominated third-party wallet (a guardian) must approve the release of the funds, adding social accountability. Additionally, we implemented an on-chain "Commitment Score" that acts as a decentralized reputation system. Breaking pacts burns your score, while completing them builds it up. Finally, we built a fully self-contained, offline-first AI Assistant into the platform that instantly guides users through the smart contract rules and automatically translates the entire DApp into 8 languages for global accessibility. During this project, we learned how to deeply integrate Reown AppKit for seamless wallet connections, how to optimize smart contracts for Monad's high-throughput environment, and how to build deterministic, zero-API client-side AI systems to eliminate rate limits and hosting costs.
