oneID is a decentralized identity layer built on monad that replaces complex wallet addresses with human-readable usernames. the idea came from a personal frustration I repeatedly faced in crypto: managing multiple wallet addresses across different chains. Sharing and remembering long addresses is inconvenient, error-prone, and creates a poor onboarding experience for new users. to solve this, I built oneID, a platform where users can register a unique username on-chain and link multiple blockchain addresses such as ethereum, solana, and bitcoin addresses to it. Instead of sending assets to a long string like `0xe154...`, users can simply interact using a username like `@demi`. the platform features: * on-chain username registration on Monad * multi-chain identity support * address resolution * qr code generation for payments * on-chain verification badges * searchable user profiles oneID combines on-chain ownership with off-chain indexing to provide both decentralization and a smooth user experience. building this project taught me a lot about full-stack Web3 development, including smart contract deployment on monad, wallet integrations using rabby, blockchain data verification, and designing products that make crypto feel simpler and more intuitive. the long-term vision for oneID is to make crypto interactions more human by enabling users to send crypto to people, not addresses.
