MonTally

I built MonTally a cross-chain expense tracker and onchain metadata ledger built for the Monad ecosystem. During tax season, block explorers show raw wallet balances and hashes, but provide zero context about why a transaction happened. Storing notes on Ethereum or Base costs $1 to $5 per write in gas fees, making bookkeeping cost-prohibitive. With MonTally, users can aggregate their transaction history across Ethereum, Base, and Monad, categorize transactions, write custom notes directly to a deployed Monad smart contract (TagRegistry.sol), filter tagged entries, and export accountant-ready CSV files in one click. Through this project, I learned how to combine explorer APIs with JSON-RPC fallbacks, deploy custom smart contracts on Monad Testnet, and build a high-contrast, responsive Swiss Minimalist Web3 interface.
