
CallBack is a non-custodial timelocked escrow protocol built on Monad that adds a safety layer to crypto transfers. Instead of sending assets directly to a recipient, funds are first locked in a secure smart contract for a user-defined safety window. During this period, only the sender has control and can cancel the transfer at any time to receive a 100% refund. The recipient cannot claim the funds until the safety window expires, eliminating the race condition that often occurs when users realize they've sent funds to the wrong address. The protocol is designed to protect against common problems in Web3, including wallet address typos, clipboard-hijacking malware, phishing attacks, and accidental transfers. Rather than forcing users to rely on test transactions or repeatedly verify long wallet addresses, CallBack gives them time to confirm their transfer before it becomes irreversible. CallBack supports both native MON and ERC-20 tokens, charges no protocol fees, and remains completely non-custodial, meaning the protocol never takes ownership of user funds. If a recipient never claims a transfer, the sender can recover the assets after a fallback period, preventing funds from remaining locked indefinitely. By separating sending from final settlement, CallBack makes blockchain transactions safer without compromising decentralization or self-custody. Instead of changing blockchain finality, it makes finality programmable giving users greater confidence every time they send crypto. what I learnt while building callback is that. there's actually a handful of people who does wrong transfers all the time , resulting to their token being gone forever with no way to recover.. this is the strong gap call back is fixing
