AjoBook

AjoBook is an onchain dues book for my community, ChainConnect NG. In Nigeria we call group contributions "Ajo" traditionally tracked in a paper ledger everyone can inspect. Somewhere between the paper book and the WhatsApp group, we lost the "everyone can inspect it" part: I collect monthly dues by chasing transfer screenshots and keeping a spreadsheet only I can see. AjoBook fixes that. The keeper opens a "page" (like July 2026 Dues live on the contract right now), members sign their name in their own words ("Ada from Enugu," not 0x1a2b…) and pay MON directly. Every payment stamps PAID next to their name on a ledger everyone sees. The UI is designed after the actual exercise book used at Ajo meetings ruled lines, red margin, violet ink stamp. Built with Solidity/Foundry (17 tests) and a vanilla JS + viem frontend. What did I learn? That the hardest part of "trustless" isn't the chain it's making it feel like something my members already trust: the keeper's book.
