Squawk

I built Squawk, a social platform designed specifically for the 10kSquad NFT community. Squawk combines the best parts of X (Twitter) and Instagram into a single community-driven experience where holders can connect, share content, customize profiles, and stay updated with real-time NFT market data. The platform includes social features such as posts, stories, comments, notifications, user mentions, media sharing, and direct messaging, alongside Web3 integrations that display live NFT statistics including floor price, volume, holder data, and collection activity. Users can sign up using Google, X, Discord, or email and instantly become part of the community. What problem does it solve? Most NFT communities are fragmented across multiple platforms. Members often switch between Discord for discussions, X for updates, Instagram for content sharing, and NFT marketplaces for collection analytics. Squawk brings everything into one place. Community members can socialize, create content, discover other holders, and track collection performance without constantly jumping between different apps and websites. This creates a more engaging, community-focused experience tailored specifically for 10kSquad holders. What did i learn? Building Squawk taught me how to develop and scale a full-stack social platform with real-time functionality. I gained experience working with authentication systems, database design, media storage, API development, real-time updates, and Web3 integrations. I also learned how to handle complex social features such as nested comments, notifications, user tagging, content synchronization, and profile management while maintaining a smooth user experience. Most importantly, I learned how to turn feedback from a community into product features and continuously improve a platform based on user needs.
