Ken

Ken is an onchain commitment device on Monad. Users stake MON on a personal goal, set a deadline, and nominate a real witness to decide whether they actually followed through. If the witness confirms completion before the deadline, the user gets their stake back. If the witness rejects it or the deadline passes with no action, the stake is forfeited into a pool that rewards people who kept their commitments. The problem Ken solves is simple: most habit and productivity tools have no consequences. They ask you to self-report, then politely pretend that counts. Ken adds social accountability and financial stakes without turning the product into corporate productivity theater. I built the Solidity contract, deployed it to Monad testnet, wired real wallet writes through Next.js, and built flows for creating commitments, witness review, dashboard tracking, timeout settlement, and pool claims. I learned a lot about designing honest hackathon UX: no fake live stats, no fake success states, and every important action should map to a real contract read or write.
