Chog RUN

I built Chog RUN, a 2D pixel runner for the Monad challenge where you play as Chog the cat, collecting Monad rings to unlock custom boss fights. It features distinct maps, custom hazards, and tight double jump controls. Most infinite runners are frustrating because of one hit deaths, so I solved that difficulty spike by building a fair 3 HP system with invincibility frames. I also added a map selection screen with unique bosses to stop the gameplay from feeling repetitive. This project taught me a ton about managing complex state machines across multiple scenes. I also got hands on experience handling assets programmatically, like dynamically flipping sprites to fix movement bugs, and fine tuning hitboxes to make the gameplay feel buttery smooth.
